Thanks to steroids and other factors, my MS bones

Thanks to steroids and other factors, my MS bones started turning to dust in my 40s #osteoporosis 💀

BUT THEN: I got a good endocrinologist. I had a course of zoledronic acid. I spent the last year mainlining calcium, vitamin d and vitamin k.

And guess what bitches. It’s working. Last year I had the skeleton of a 70 year old 🦴 Now my bones have the density of a 44 year old 💪 💪 💪 🤯

I have gone from omfg osteoporosis to mild osteopenia in ten months 🙏 (it is such a strange feeling to get good medical news for a change)

If you have MS you should be getting bone scans 🫵 Especially if you’ve had prednisone/solumedrol.

Look after your skeleton, Trippers. 😘

Flew @porterairlines to Vancouver yesterday and was surprised to see a closet for personal wheelchairs inside the cabin 👍

But here’s the plot twist: I asked why I hadn’t been offered this space for my transport chair and was told they prefer to use it for cabin crew luggage.

50 points for saying the quiet part out loud, @porterairlines Minus a million points for following thru on accessibility initiatives.

Fortunately, Optimus Prime wasn’t damaged (always a concern when flying), tho for some reason he was soaking wet 🤔

If it’s raining, I’m not going…unless it’s from my door to the car. But it’s book tour szn and “indoor girl” isn’t always an option.

This @lululemon seated-fit rain poncho is cropped in the back and covers my knees while sitting. It’s lightweight, easy to get on and roomy enough for layers. Plus it’s super cute. And I got it on sale 🤩
