It was an honour to talk about Fallosophy with the Canadian Club of Halton and they did their best to accommodate me 🙏

On the other hand, @theoakvilleconferencecenter was unwilling to supply a ramp and renting one would have cost the non-profit Canadian Club an outrageous $1750

So, I could choose to present from the floor, where it would be hard for the audience to see me, or I could roll the dice on the 12” platform.

My husb and @byacre Rollator helped me up to the stage but getting off is trickier and less safe so I went down on my bum 😳

Safer but not exactly classy. Not super dignified either, but we do what we have to do.

The Oakville Conference Centre claims it is an accessible venue and this should extend to the stage. Otherwise I fear that next time disabled presenters just won’t be invited.

Paris. Last year. An (almost) perfect pony I didn’t have to struggle to execute.

Fast forward: my core strength is waning and my arms do what they want. It takes 10 minutes, 2 pillows and Olympic-level contortion just to get my locks into a mostly messy bun 👱‍♀️
