Feeling cautiously optimistic about new @aircanada initiatives for disabled travelers ✈️ 🤔

Optimistic bc @aircanada sent me a detailed email ahead of my trip with helpful tips about traveling with a wheelchair…Apparently you can track the location of your mobility aid in their app now 👏👏👏

Cautious bc most of the tips were about what to do if the airline effs up or loses your device 😬

July is Disability Pride Month, and yeah, I’m a day late bc energy isn’t unlimited and I live in the Disability Time Zone where we get there when we get there, thanks for holding the door 💁‍♀️

Disability Pride doesn’t mean I enjoying having MS - to be clear, zero stars. Do not recommend. 👎

Pride means refusing to be ashamed of my disabled body. It’s about taking up space and celebrating our whole selves and advocating for a more accessible world.
